Public Meeting Notes - 18 May 2013
Yesterday's meeting was very valuable and thanks to all those who attended. The main points were:
Registration:
Worked well
Host hotel:
No issues
Prices:
Andy Clarkes survey showed that most people thought £35 was an acceptable price for a 3 day event. However, we need to make the event value for money if we are looking at that figure.
Venues:
Drinks prices - Mint Lounge expensive and soft drinks in Ruby Lounge excessive.
Some very minor issues with some venues but overall feedback was positive. Still need to investigate venues in or around the village.
Pool Party:
Trevor advised that it went very well. Transport worked very well.
Sauna:
As normal everyone enjoyed it - the buffet was good.
Moving onto the next events:
1. We are currently talking to venues in the village to host two club nights. Once we have reached agreement we will make an announcement with regards to Pre-HiBearnation and GBBB17 (a theme has been identified and everyone's imagination went into overdrive).
2. Registration Packs:
a. The pin badge will be back next year
b. A giveaway has been identified
c. We will actively seek other items from local businesses.
3. Prices - once we have the clubs in place and know costs we will sit and agree the price structure. We are committed to making these events value for money.
4. Sackville Park - This event will return next year. We had some fantastic offers of support and help for this (including a pop-up tea room).
5. Marketing - advertising to be in place for all forthcoming events in time for Manchester Pride.
Once again thanks to all of those who attended and we will aim to have another get together in the next 6 weeks.
